The Role of Computer in Teaching

Intoduction: Computers play a vital role in every field. They aid industrial processes, they find application in medicine; they are the reason why software industries developed and flourished and they play an important role in education. This is also why theeducation system has made computer education a part of school curriculum. The use of technology in classrooms shares top billing with the standards and assessment movement as ways to improve education. The computer can be used in education in three basic ways: as a teacher, as a learner, and as an assistant.

The role of computer in teaching-lerning process:
We live in a world where changes are made with high steps, and we must keep up with then. The computer can be used in teaching-learning of play form, drawing the children. Computer use in school has and will have a great role in the presentations of lessons, and for communication and information.. Computer training is the way in which the interaction of teaching and learning, between teacher and students, is the means of this computer. Integrating computers in teaching refers to how information and tasks contained in software work is articulated with other sequences of training and responding to objectives pursued by the teacher. Proper handling of the computer itself can be done by teachers or by students, depending on the task of learning content and specific situation in which the learning.Using the computer as a tool in teaching school subjects lead to the development of critical thinking, allowing students to demonstrate spontaneous. Satisfaction of the highlights is the “Talent” to make their own creation (composition, drawing, poster).

Methodology: These data contain booking information made by the lecturers, either through electronic mailing, verbal or written at the beginning of the each semester. Information such as lecturer name, programme code, day, time and lab were recorded. Early bookings are required to avoid overlapping use by users.

Uses of computer in Education field:Schools and colleges around the world are using computer technologies to teach students digitally and creatively with data visualization. Uses of the computer in a classroom will explore creativity and imagination in students mind.  Drawing tools, spreadsheet, Audio, Video lectures and power point presentations etc. are very beneficial for students to learn more deeply and accurately.

PROS OF USING COMPUTERS IN CLASSROOMS:

Encourages peer to peer learning: Teachers can insist students create virtual study groups using computers to share or ask academic information.  With the many social applications available, it is very easy to connect students using computers.
Improve students writing skills: Many students have issues with proper grammar and using a computer in the class will partly help in correcting that issue.
hey personalize learning: This can be achieved when each student has their own computer in the classroom. The teacher can easily receive and reply to students’ comments while in class.
They reduce on the amount of text books students carry to school: It is true students can store most of their notes and text books on their computer devices
.

5. Conclusion :The quality of teaching and learning of mathematical sciences subjects can be improved by introducing more effective technique of delivery through the use of software in the computer labs. Practical teaching and learning process in the labs helps students in internalizing scientific method and understanding mathematical science concept introduced. Several approaches have been suggested to improve teaching and learning, which among others, by integrating the elements of software use in the course curriculum. Besides, lecturers could engage more hands-on assignments using software to students.
